In the app

Open Fork'In and go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm, and the deletion happens straight away.

If you no longer have the app

Email us from the address on your Fork'In account and we'll delete it for you. No form to fill in and no reason required.

We reply from support@forkin.net. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and usually within a few days. We may ask you to confirm from the account's email address — that check exists so nobody else can delete your account.

What gets deleted

• Your profile, username, display name and photo
• Every review, rating and photo you posted
• Your check-ins and visit history
• Your posts, comments and likes
• Your wishlists, top fives and recommendations
• Your friendships, friend requests and Squad Picks history
• Your push notification tokens and notification history

What we keep, and why

Two narrow exceptions, both required to keep other people safe or to meet our legal obligations:

• Moderation records. If you were reported or blocked, or if you reported someone else, we keep that record so repeat behaviour can still be recognised. It no longer identifies you by profile.
• Anonymous aggregates. Counts that no longer identify you — for example the total number of reviews a restaurant has — stay as numbers.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account, a username, or your reviews once it's done.
